Adult Education

Welcome to the introduction to Illustrator class.

This is a beginners class designed to help new user of Adobe Illustrator become more comfortable working with the tools and basic nuances of the software.

Students will also be introduced to Adobe Photoshop as an extension to the Illustrator program.

This is an 8 hour crash course spread out over 4 weeks.

It is recommended that students have access to the software outside of the class. This will enable students to practice topics and tools used.

A notebook for sketching ideas and taking notes is recommended.

Also it would be a good idea to have either a memory stick/thumb drive to save work to.

As an alternative, having a google account will allow students to save work into folders that are accessible from any computer.

This will be the goto place for assignments.

I will also do my best to keep OnCampus up to date for submitting projects once they are completed.

You are required to check in with me every day for attendance reasons and to connect personally so I know you are doing okay.

The check in will usually be brief and include a daily question.

Because most if not all of you do not have access to the digital Illustrator program, the first projects will non digital in nature.

There is a rumor that Adobe may release their programs to student use but, we need to wait and see if this is true and how we would get them to your iPads.
